KLR Design Limited ("we", "us", "our") is an electric gate manufacturer and installer based in Bennathie Cottage, Coupar Angus, Blairgowrie, Perthshire, PH13 9JN. We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following personal data:

Name, email address, phone number
Postal address and property details
Enquiry and service request details
Website usage data via cookies

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

Respond to enquiries and provide quotes
Deliver and maintain our services
Send relevant service updates
Improve our website and services

When you submit an enquiry form, the following data is collected: your name, email address, phone number, gate type selection (if any), and message. This data is:

(a) transmitted via Resend (our email service provider) to klr_design@outlook.com for the purpose of contacting you about your enquiry; and
(b) stored in a secure leads database hosted on Lovable Cloud (powered by Supabase) so that we retain a record of your enquiry, can respond to data subject access or erasure requests, and can audit submissions for quality assurance.

In addition to the enquiry data above, we also store your browser identifier (user-agent string) and the page on which the enquiry was submitted (referring source). This technical metadata is used solely for security and abuse-detection purposes — for example, identifying automated spam submissions or repeat malicious activity. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or advertising, and is not shared with third parties.

Your data is not shared, sold, or used for marketing without your separate consent.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the basis of legitimate interest, contractual necessity, and where applicable, your consent.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Anonymous cookie consent preferences are stored on our hosting backend. Analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google Ads, Meta Pixel) only run if you opt in via the cookie banner. We do not take payments through this website.

Google advertising and audience matching: Where you consent to advertising cookies, Google may receive hashed pseudonymised versions of contact details you have provided (name, email, phone) for audience matching and enhanced conversion measurement, as described in the "Remarketing and audience matching" section below.

Email delivery: Resend (resend.com). Resend processes enquiry form submissions on our behalf as a data processor. Resend is based in the United States; data transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). For Resend's own privacy policy, see resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Lead storage: Lovable Cloud / Supabase. Leads database hosted on Lovable's backend infrastructure (powered by Supabase). Lovable and Supabase act as data processors. Both are subject to GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreements and Standard Contractual Clauses where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA. See lovable.dev/privacy and supabase.com/privacy.

6. Remarketing and audience matching

We use Google Ads remarketing to show our ads to previous visitors of klrdesign.co.uk on Google Search, YouTube and partner websites, only where you have accepted advertising cookies via our cookie banner. With your consent, we may also share limited contact details you have provided (name, email, phone) with advertising platforms including Google (Customer Match) in hashed pseudonymised form; the platform matches these against its own users so we can show relevant ads to existing customers or find similar audiences, unmatched data is deleted, and platforms may not use it for their own purposes. We may also use enhanced conversions: when you submit our enquiry form a hashed version of your email may be sent to Google to improve advertising measurement. You can withdraw consent for audience matching and enhanced conversions at any time through our Marketing Preferences page, via the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by emailing klr_design@outlook.com.

Managing your marketing preferences

You can opt in to or opt out of email marketing, unsubscribe from all marketing emails, opt out of SMS marketing and object to third-party data matching at any time through our Marketing Preferences page. You can also contact us at klr_design@outlook.com.

Cookie and online advertising preferences are managed separately through the Cookie Settings link in the website footer.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (including Resend for email delivery and Cloudflare for DNS / hosting) are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards including UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTA) or EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Enquiry submissions stored in our leads database are retained for 24 months from the date of submission, unless required longer for legitimate business purposes (e.g. active customer correspondence, warranty records). Leads can be deleted on request — see Section 9 for how to exercise your right to erasure. Enquiry emails are also stored in our email inbox (Outlook) until no longer required. Anonymous cookie consent preferences are stored for up to 11 months.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Contact us at klr_design@outlook.com to exercise these rights.
