1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of klrdesign.co.uk (the "website") and set out the basis on which KLR Design Limited^™ ("KLR Design", "we", "us") provides quotes and supplies goods and services. KLR Design Limited is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 10329236. Contact: klr_design@outlook.com, 07903 831124.

By using the website or engaging us to carry out work you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Use of the website

• The website and its content (text, images, photography of our installations, logos and branding) are owned by or licensed to KLR Design and may not be copied or reused commercially without our written permission.
• You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to transmit harmful material.
• Content on the website is provided for general information. While we keep it up to date, it does not constitute a binding offer; all work is subject to a written quotation.
• Links to third-party websites (including manufacturer sites and review platforms) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

3. Quotes and site surveys

• Enquiry-stage estimates are indicative only. A formal written quotation follows a site survey and is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• Quotations assume normal ground and site conditions and suitable access. Additional work discovered on site (for example groundworks, electrical supply upgrades or obstructions) may be quoted separately before proceeding.

4. Orders, deposits and payment

• An order is formed when you accept our quotation in writing and pay any agreed deposit. Bespoke fabrication begins only after deposit clearance.
• Payment terms, including any staged payments, are stated on the quotation. Balance payments are due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
• Consumer finance / "Pay in 3" options are provided by third-party providers subject to their own terms, eligibility checks and credit agreements; we are not the lender.
• Goods remain the property of KLR Design until paid for in full. We may charge statutory interest on overdue amounts.

5. Cancellation rights

If you are a consumer and your contract was agreed off-premises or at a distance (for example by phone or email), you normally have 14 days from the date of the contract to cancel without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Two important exceptions:

• Bespoke items: gates and metalwork fabricated to your specification are exempt from the right to cancel once fabrication has begun with your agreement.
• If you ask us to start work within the 14-day period, you may be charged for work done up to the point of cancellation.

6. Installation and your obligations

• You must ensure we have safe access to the site and a suitable electrical supply (or instruct us to arrange one).
• You are responsible for confirming boundaries and any planning or listed-building consents required, although we will advise where we can.
• Installation dates are estimates made in good faith; we are not liable for delays caused by weather, supply chains or matters outside our control, but will keep you informed and agree new dates promptly.

7. Safety, warranties and maintenance

• We are a registered Gate Safe member. All installations are designed and installed to meet applicable safety standards, and we will provide handover guidance on safe use.
• Automation equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty (CAME, Roger Technology, KEY, AES Global, DEA and others). Our workmanship is guaranteed for the period stated on your quotation.
• Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, accident, third-party interference, power surges or lack of routine maintenance. Automated gates are safety-critical machinery and require periodic servicing; our maintenance plans (from £15/month) or PAYG servicing keep your warranty and safety compliance intact.

8. Repairs and maintenance plans

• Maintenance plans are billed monthly, continue until cancelled with one month's notice, and cover the services described in the plan documentation.
• Emergency call-outs outside a plan are chargeable at the rates quoted at the time of booking.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the price paid for that order. We hold public liability insurance; details available on request.

11. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, available on the website.

12. General

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
